The Cheeky Freak this week is Sudanese born Melbourne dwelling Internet superstar Bangs. A true internet rap sensation for a while now with over one million hits on the above video, Take U To Da Movies, Bangs unleashes the fury on Sydney for the first time this Saturday night at GoodGod. The jury is still out for mine, but this show is truly not to be missed!

In Sydney tonight, head to Black & Blue for the opening of Spooky Action at a Distance, an exhibition of experimental Japanese artists as a part of Big In Japan. If you are closer to Newcastle, check out Eddy Current with San Francisco’s Thee Oh Sees at The Cambridge. Saturday night back in Sydney witness the phenomenon that is Bangs with Sleater Brockman, Captain Franco, Bad Ezzy and Baloo at GoodGod Small Club. 10pm – Late / $10.

In Melbourne tonight, attend Charlie Sofo’s Facts at Utopian Slumps, 5/25 Easey St, Collingwood. Saturday attend the Melbourne Design Markets and see Sunday Ganim’s amazing woven blankets, Federation Square Carpark, 10 am – 5pm. In the night, check out colabYARRRation, a exhibition of t-shirt art featuring Danny Young, Lily Daley, Mark Lording, Rudin Rashid and Tim Hillier amongst others. 7:30pm, Inside Out Gallery, 473 Malvern Rd South Yarra. Then head to the The Tote to see Love of Diagrams launch their latest record with Partyline and Hissey Miyake. Saweet!
