Fantastic Mr Fox

Everyone’s favourite, Wes Anderson, is back with his latest treat, a stop motion animation Fantastic Mr Fox. For those familiar with the Roald Dahl book, don’t be alarmed, it does seem like there’s not enough there to fill 90 mins, but the story of the book will be the basis of the second act of the film. Anderson and Noah Baumbach will add to the beginning and the end, and judging by the few photos available, the animals will be human like. All the usual crew return to voice the characters and Jarvis Cocker has apparently written four songs for the soundtrack. The attention to detail in the sets and costumes again seems to be impeccable, let’s hope for some fresh ideas and some gags on par with Bottle Rocket, which has recently been released in a great Blu Ray package from Criterion.
